Mags Naylor

Director  Youth Genesis Trust (YGT)           PGC Professional Practice Integrated Children and Young People Services, PGCE Post 16 Education, BA Hons Recreation and Community Studies, MILM Institute of Leadership and Management Level 7, CMI Chartered Management Institution Level 7, Prince2 Project Management, MInstF Chartered Institute of Fundraising and YMCA EDP Executive Development Programme.
Mags is responsible for the overall management of YGT services and is the strategically lead for the organisation and in consultation with the Trustees sets the development plan.
She is an enthusiastic champion for young people’s voices to be heard.

Michelle Taylor JP Dip CMI

Michelle oversees the Youth Genesis activities and projects in the South Hams and North Devon areas, working to support volunteers and staff to deliver the sessions. Michelle’s role includes project development and providing volunteer recruitment and volunteer training. Michelle is the Safeguarding Lead for Youth Genesis and provides Safeguarding support and updates in legislation and policy implementation. Michelle feels that early intervention is important for young people as they grow and develop, as is informal learning. Being a Restorative Practitioner and involved in the Youth Justice Board, Michelle is passionate about working with youth offenders.

Martina Taylor BA (Hons)

Martina has previously supported young people who had been excluded from mainstream school and has also supported adults with learning disabilities. Martina joined Youth Genesis in 2015 and volunteered as an assistant youth support worker and a session leader. Martina briefly left Youth Genesis at the end of 2017 and re-joined us in September 2018 as the Youth Innovation and Operations Manager. Martina’s role involves developing projects as well as line managing provisions in Paignton and Brixham, working with and supporting volunteers to provide a sustainable youth service to young people living in their community. Martina is passionate about making a difference to young people’s lives, through informal learning.

Steve Leech

Steve joined Youth Genesis in September 2019 to co-ordinate and promote the Ratio project.  Steve also supports volunteer recruitment  and delivers focused volunteer training and supervision for the RATIO team. Steve is a person-centred practitioner who has been working with families and young people in Torbay for many years. Steve is passionate that volunteers from the local community are the best source of support for local young people.

Zoe Elsdon DipHE

Zoe has just completed her DipHE in Applied Theology specialising in Missional Youth Work, with Moorlands College and South West Youth Work.  Zoe has worked alongside children and young people for the past 10 years in different settings, including schools, churches, uniformed groups and more recently working with those with learning disabilities and mental health issues.

Zoe oversees the activities and projects that Youth Genesis Trust runs in Torbay and East Devon, supporting staff and volunteers to deliver sessions.

Alyson Wildman

Business & Finance Officer Alyson is our behind-the-scenes person, responsible for the effective day to day administration and financial management of the Trust’s funds. She works in tandem with our Accountants to produce the Trust’s Annual Financial Statements.
