Jonathan Oliverio BA (Hons), Assoc CIPD, Dip CMI  

Job Description: As one of the founders of Youth Genesis,  Jonathan works behind the scenes developing partnerships with  organisations and securing the vital funding that helps to keep the projects alive. Jonathan has a passion for seeing young people grow and access opportunities within their communities. With a background of setting up detached youth work projects and  working with homeless young people, Jonathan works with  Churches, Councils, Community Groups and key providers in both the private and voluntary sectors to help set strategies that initiate positive change.

Michelle Taylor

Youth Innovation & Operations Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead

Job Description: Michelle Line manages all the Youth Genesis Provisions apart from Cranbrook and Totnes, working to support volunteers and staff to deliver the projects. Michelle works to help Jon with Project development.

Michelle has been involved with Youth Genesis since 2012, and became Youth Development Worker in September 2014. Michelle has mainly developed the work in Brixham and piloted a Youth Volunteer project but has been involved in the Projects all over Youth Genesis Provision. Michelle is the Safeguarding lead for Youth Genesis and provides all volunteer recruitment and volunteer training. Michelle feels that early intervention is important for young people as they grow and develop, as is informal learning. Being a Restorative Practitioner and involved in the Youth Justice Board, Michelle is passionate about working with youth offenders.

Alison Adams

Business Administrator

Alison joined Youth Genesis in March 2018, and has been responsible for taking on the admin and finance for the team, including development of financial policy and systems.

Alison is a qualified accountant with several years’ experience working in local authority, retail, defence, and FMCG sectors. Past experience includes preparation of strategic plans, annual budgets and reports, and more recently working as part of multi-functional project teams in the preparation of bids for contracts within the defence and air traffic sectors. Experience also includes working as a cost reduction analyst in partnership with charities, educational establishments and small private businesses to reduce overhead costs, and improve business efficiency.

Martina Taylor

Youth Innovation & Operations Manager (Devon)

Martina has previously supported young people who had been excluded from mainstream school and has also supported adults with learning disabilities. Martina joined Youth Genesis in 2015 and volunteered as an assistant youth support worker and a session leader. Martina briefly left Youth Genesis at the end of 2017 and re-joined us in September 2018 as the Youth Innovation and Operations Manager. Martina’s role involves developing projects as well as line managing provisions in Cranbrook and Totnes, working with and supporting volunteers to provide a sustainable youth service to young people living in their community. Martina is passionate about making a difference to young people’s lives, through informal learning.
