Weekly Streetbase Activities

The aim of 'Streetbase' is to work with young people aged 11-19 who 'hang-out' on the streets of Torbay to make an improvement in the lives of young people involved in anti-social behaviour and give them the opportunity, through the appropriate package of work, support and provision of activities, to make a positive difference in their lives.

Streetbase workers make contact with young people on the streets of Torbay, working in close partnership with the Police, Children's Services and the criminal justice system. The unique youth work approach is the basis of our work; working with the young people to explore their own behaviour and its effect on them, others and the community. Giving information on Drugs, etc. to enable them to make informed choices about their life style. Working with them to develop their emotional educational and spiritual potential in their growth to adulthood.
